About Kaft
Every subject, one cover
Why Kaft exists
Too much learning is cramming: formulas, dates and words by heart, each on its own. Kaft wants you to understand why something is true and to see how the subjects connect. So every subject gets its own app, made with the same care.
How we make the apps
Every topic starts from a question or a picture. Exercises explain at once and always offer a fresh variant. All content stays a concept until a teacher or subject expert has checked it. See a mistake? Write to contact@nealvdv.be.
Who makes Kaft
Kaft comes from Neal Van de Velde (nealvdv), a small Belgian web business. Neal made Draad before, the app for reading the Bible in context. Draad belongs to the family and stays free forever.
Fairly priced, private, calm
Draad is free and every other app starts free. If you want to go further, you pay a fair price, with a social rate for anyone who needs it. No ads, no tracking, no required account, no guilt-driven notifications.
Four languages, from here
Kaft starts from the Flemish curriculum goals and examples you recognise, and comes in Dutch, French, German and English, always in that order.
Our foundation
nealvdv works from a Christian foundation. For Kaft that means: being honest, treating everyone with respect and caring for whoever is learning. The content itself is sound and neutral, and where faith and science meet, we are honest and never preachy.
