The Kaft promise

What every app promises

Each app has its own name, colour and character. The promise is the same for all of them.

  1. Understanding over cramming

Every topic starts from a question or a picture, not from a formula to learn by heart.

  2. Connections

You see where a topic comes from, where it leads and where it turns up in another subject.

  3. Do it yourself, explained at once

Exercises are checked on the spot, with a hint, a worked solution and always a fresh variant. Mistakes are information, not punishment.

  4. Honest

What is uncertain or disputed is shown as such. Content is marked concept until a teacher or subject expert has checked it.

  5. Fairly priced, private, calm

Draad is entirely free, and in every other app the learning path and the first topics are free. No ads, no tracking, no guilt-driven notifications.

  6. Flemish and Belgian

We start from the Flemish curriculum goals and examples from here: euros, Belgian cities, the train from Brussels to Ghent. In four languages.

How it fits together

One cover, every app its own book

Kaft is the front door. Each app is its own site with its own name, colour and address, so each can grow at its own pace. Kaft holds them together and shows where they meet.

To be honest: for now, each app keeps your progress only on your own device. Kaft cannot see it. That changes only with a single Kaft account.

  1. One cover

Here you see every app, how far along it is, what it costs, and how the subjects connect.

  2. Every subject its own app

Ruit for maths, Spoor for history, and so on. Each app works on its own, even on an old phone.

  3. Later, one account

A Kaft account without a password, with a code by email, that shows your progress across all apps.

Who it is for

For pupils, parents and teachers

  • Pupils

Understand why something is true instead of learning it by heart. Practise as often as you like, with an explanation right when you are stuck.

    Pick an app
  • Parents

Calm apps without ads and without tricks to keep your child scrolling. Free to start, fairly priced if you want to go further.

  • Teachers

Free for teachers, no accounts for pupils, worksheets for each app. Help us check the content.

    Kaft in class

For schools

Kaft for your class or school

Teachers use every app for free. If you want every app for all your pupils, the school pays one fair price per pupil.

  • Together in class. Show a topic on the board, then your pupils practise on their own device.
  • No pupil accounts. No email address, no password. Progress stays on the pupil's device.
  • Worksheets for each topic. Printable and with answers, following the Flemish learning goals. They are on their way, starting with Ruit.
  • A quote that fits. Through contact, and free through the CLB, the OCMW or a homework club.
